Dean Gunner Departs Dorking Wanderers
Posted: 27th June 2017
After two extremely successful seasons with the Wanderers Dean Gunner has decided to move on and look for a new challenge from next season.
During Dean’s spell the team had back to back runner up finishes in the Ryman League South, and he was part of the successful promotion winning side that went up via the play offs at the end of last season.
Manager Marc White applauded Dean’s efforts, and said: “Dean is a multi-talented footballer who can play 50 games a season in a variety of positions, and he’ll be sorely missed from the surroundings. It’s worth noting that in the past few seasons the team has been incredibly successful, and Dean has played a big part in that. I wish him all the very best in the future, and like all old previous players no doubt he will continue to have strong links with the club”.
Dean himself commented: “I decided to move on and look for a new challenge for next season. I’d like to thank everybody at the club for everything, in particular Marc and his management team, and I wish them all the best in the future. Dorking Wanderers is a very special club that’s going places, and I feel proud to have played a part in its journey”.
