New partnership announced with Dorking based
Restaurant Caveman Barbeque
Posted: 19th October 2017
Dorking Wanderers have today announced that they have entered into a brand-new partnership with Dorking based restaurant Caveman Barbeque.
The partnership will see Caveman Barbeque sponsor the home and away playing kit for Dorking Wanderers new ladies team, who will play their home games at Wanderers brand new home at Meadowbank Stadium, which is set for completion in January 2018. The playing shirt will also bear the logo of long-term sponsor Stonegate Homes on the back.
In addition to the shirt sponsorship, Caveman Barbeque will also have pitch side presence at the new ground, which (aside from the Ladies) will also house matches and training for the Development Squad, Academy, Under 18’s and Veterans, as well as hosting training for more than a thousand boys and girls playing in grassroots youth clubs.
Dorking Wanderers Club Development Director Kris Lea is delighted that Caveman Barbeque have joined several other Dorking based businesses that have already partnered with the club, such as the recent announcement of long-term sponsor Stonegate Homes. He said, “Like many people in Dorking we have been very impressed with the impact Caveman Barbeque have made in the town since they opened on the High Street in 2017. They already have a fantastic reputation for the quality of their food and service, and they have really embraced all things Dorking and the local community since they started trading”.
Lea continued, “Caveman Barbeque’s logo is eye catching and their impact on Dorking High Street has been a fantastic addition to the town. We’re delighted that their branding will also appear on our ladies team shirts and pitch side at the new stadium”.
Founded in 2014, Caveman Barbeque are the home of the British Barbeque and their slow smoked cooking methods are bringing that flavour to the masses. Caveman is all about taking great cuts of British Beef, Pork and Chicken and giving it their twist on a process that has been used for hundreds of years.
Co-founder and Director Gerry McCorriston shares Wanderers delight in entering in to this new partnership. He said, “We are delighted to be involved with the Dorking Ladies team and their associated partners. Like us, ladies football is growing in stature and popularity and we see a bright future for the game. I am so looking forward to cheering them on and of course making sure they are well feed for the big games ahead. Together I see us having a “crackling season”.
