Dorking Wanderers have today announced the signing of Brannon O’Neill, who joins the club from fellow Isthmian Premier League side Worthing FC.
27 year old former Crawley Town professional O’Neill has been a key part of the Mackerel Men’s midfield in recent seasons, and last season alone he made over 50 appearances and chipped in with 7 goals.
O’Neill certainly seems excited at the prospect of joining newly promoted Wanderers. He commented: “After speaking to the Manager, the way the club is moving forward is exciting. They have always had a mentality to win and progress, and that appeals to me. The team is always set up to play, moving the ball through the thirds and being tough to beat, and I’m looking forward to being a part of that”.
Furthermore, Wanderers Manager Marc White is delighted to have added a player of O’Neill’s pedigree to his squad ahead of the clubs maiden season in the Isthmian Premier League.
He said: “'We have admired Brannon for a long time now. He stood out both home and away during Worthing's promotion season from the Ryman South. He is left footed, an excellent technical footballer and a set piece specialist. What's more, he has the experience of playing at a higher level which I feel will be key for the forthcoming season. Overall we are very much looking forward to seeing Brannon in a Dorking Wanderers shirt”.
